Health & Capability Assessment

How well is your health supporting the life you want to live?

In around five minutes, find out where you stand across the physical, lifestyle and behavioural factors that decide how well you stay strong, fit and capable after 50. One assessment, 24 short questions, and a clear first focus at the end.

What is your CapabilitySpan?

Lifespan tells you how long you live. CapabilitySpan is about how long you remain strong, fit and capable of doing the things that matter to you.

This assessment looks at four areas that influence your CapabilitySpan: Strength, Cardiovascular Fitness, Nutrition and Recovery. Your results will help you see where you’re already doing well and where focused changes could make the biggest difference.

Strength

Resistance training, muscle and confident everyday lifting.

Cardiovascular fitness

Aerobic base, sustained effort and recovery between efforts.

Nutrition

Protein, minimally processed food, fibre and hydration.

Recovery

Sleep, rest days, stress and adapting to fatigue.

Behaviour and mindset

Willingness, identity, simplicity, design, setbacks and thinking.

One clear first focus

The single area to start with, and what usually decides whether it lasts.

The frameworks behind it

This one assessment draws on both Over 50 & Strong frameworks, so you do not have to choose between them. CapabilitySpan covers physical capability, strength, cardiovascular fitness, nutrition and recovery. W.I.S.D.O.M. covers the behaviours and systems that decide whether any of it actually happens week after week.

How to answer

Answer for your typical behaviour over the last four to six weeks, not your best ever week, and not what you intend to start on Monday. An honest snapshot of the present gives you a far more useful result, and a baseline worth comparing against later.

What happens at the end

At the end you enter your first name and email, and your full results appear straight away on this page, no waiting for an email. Your details are used to save your results and follow up on this assessment, nothing else.

What it is not

This is a self-assessment of current behaviour and practical capability. It is not a medical examination, a disease-risk predictor, a fitness or frailty test, a body-composition scan, or a validated clinical instrument.
